I Saw KERALA in MALAYSIA.

Kerala in other words known as “Malayalakkara” ( A shore of Malayalam speaking people) is a small state in INDIA and West Malaysia is a South East Asian country, this two cannot be compared straight away but I have found more similarities in several areas of our interests. I don’t know whether any body did a comparison on this subject, hence let me try to throw some views, opinions and assumption on this …!
So let’s start with non-similarities first to add some spices to the subject. As Malaysia is one of the developed nation in ASIA Pacific and consists of mainly three communities Chinese, Malay and Indians but Kerala is a state in INDIA consists of majority Malayalam speaking people and most of them are Farmers and Merchants in nature but 100% literate and with hightech kids (I Mean High-tech "Y" Generation) .
Now I would like take you to the similarities which I have found common in both:

Geological Similarities: -
As seen in the Map below looks similar in first sight in its unique shape and the Western Sea Shore, But Malaysia has Sea again on East and Kerala don`t.

Following are some of the similarities we can grab, in which both lands almost match.

1. Western Sea shore - Arabian Sea and Strait of Malacca
2. Coastal length - 700-1000km.
3. No. State / District - 14 states (including 3 Federal).
4. Forest Coverage (Greenery)- ~60-70% (Greenery)

7. Annual Rain fall - 2500 to 3000 mm.
8. Tea plantation - Manadavadi and Cameron Highlands

Communal and Social Similarities :
In community wise there are some interesting things to share, As Malaysia has majority of Muslim community and similarity is in this community ; as both the location follow “Sahfie” Maz`hab as one of the four Maz`hab in Islam ,also due to the origin. Some lairs in food and eating as the Malaysian famous “Roti Chenai” and “Teh tarik” is a form of “Protta – type of layered pan cake” and “Chaaya – Milk Tea served with forms on top” in kerala. The following are more to be added to it.

1. Language - Malay-alam (Vs) Malayu (Major) 10-20% Match.
2. Favorite food - Rice,Porotta and Chaaya (Vs) Nasi,Roti Chenai and Teh Tarik.
